Funding and Grants

Creating opportunities and supporting development & growth in creative careers and business

Humber Museums Partnership (HMP)

The Humber Museums Partnership (HMP) is a small grants scheme for independent museums and heritage organisations in the Humber region. The scheme is open to all museums and heritage organisations across Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, North and North East Lincolnshire.

HMP offers two rounds of funding, with one opening in November 2023 and one in May 2024. You can apply for grants between £2,000 – £6,000 and you do not need to be accredited to apply. Projects must be completed by December 2025.  HMP knows some people and communities face real barriers to engaging with our regional museums. Their priorities are raising awareness of hidden or untold stories of the Humber and engaging with under-represented audiences, removing barriers and increasing inclusion.

Interested museums are invited to submit an initial short expression of interest or discuss their projects with a member of the HMP team before submitting. HMP are currently recruiting a freelance grants project mentor who will provide support with applications and ongoing support to successful applicants.  For informal discussions, expressions of interest or to request an application pack please contact Sarah Howard, Programme and Development Manager, Hull Museums and Gallery: Sarah.howard@hcandl.co.uk, 01482 616645.
